Analog Photography

As  analog photography is all about having a special aura of photographs. So for this project I decided  to explore this topic further. I am looking at places in Wellington and how they can become something more meaningful then just snapshots of streets.
So I started with looking at places and streets of Wellington where I go often and where I love spending my time. On a sunny day I went to waterfront & Cuba street – my two comforting spots in Wellington. Why those? Because as touristic places  I associate them with my New Zealand experience as a whole. I enjoy sitting on the bench, enjoying the sun and watching bright blue skies and people passing by in rush of their everyday worries. Then I thought about the way how I can keep a visual reminder of those wonderful places and have a chance to refresh the sweet memories of calmness and happiness anytime I want.
The best object would be a piece of jewelry as it is something worn close to the body and people carefully choose what it should be. So I chose 4 pictures that attract me the most and made 4 necklaces .

Precedents

Folowing Images by Tiziana Gualano are really showing the feature of analog photography that I find particularly interesting - the fact that the images are taken momentarily and they are like human memories. They are not perfect and as you never know if you will remember something or not in future, you never know if the film will capture the moment or if it will be just blank.
